Chuck E Cheese

It began innocently enough.

All week Mommy had been telling me that we were going to Avery and Evan's big birthday bash at a cool place called Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday. She said he was a really fun mouse that lived in a house with all sorts of games, fun activities and pizza.

I could hardly wait for Saturday.

When we arrived, we started checking out all the rides and games right away.
On this car ride, I met the Chuck E Cheese that I had been hearing about all week. He seemed harmless enough, and I was having a blast at his house.

In just a few minutes, I would learn that this was not the real Chuck E Cheese. This was an imposter.

During lunch, the real Chuck E Cheese made an appearance. The real Chuck was really tall, had a huge rat head and eyes that didn't move.

I began having flashbacks to Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny at the mall.

As scared as I was, I decided not to let this monster rat ruin my day at Avery and Evan's party. I asked Daddy to take me to the "Feed the Animals" game. There was a gun there to 'shoot' the food at the animals. I thought that if I could practice this game enough to become proficient with the food gun, I could shoot some cheese cubes at Chuck's head if he got too close.

Since Daddy can never stay away from the car games, he told me that we should practice making a quick getaway in a fast car should Chuck try to give me a hug.

Whack a Mole?

How about
"Whack a Chuck?"

It would be too bad if one of these Skee balls slipped out of my hand and bonked Chuck on his rat nose...

Maybe if I perform my "Stay Away Chuck" dance, he'll get a clue that I am scared of him and don't want to speak to him.

After an afternoon of training to defend myself from Chuck, I decided that I was prepared for anything. I let my guard down a bit and enjoyed the carousel ride with Avery.

Well, maybe I didn't let my guard down too much. I liked this ride because I could get a view of all corners of the room and keep my eye on scary ol' Chuck wherever he roamed.

Thankfully the birthday girl didn't have the "Chuck Fear." She had a great time!!

Evan (aka
DestrucTor) has no fear of anything. He had a wonderful time at his party!

Mommy promised me that she would protect me from Chuck and any other large rodents that we might encounter.

I always feel safer in Daddy's arms. Thanks for training with me all day, Daddy!! I had so much fun!

Even though I was frightened of Chuck, I had SO much fun at your party Avery and Evan! I might not be a fan of Chuck E Cheese himself, but his house is great!! Thank you SO much for inviting me!!

I was so excited that we were able to go to your house after the party to play. You were so smart to think of making a secret camp area where nobody could find us - Chuck would never look for us here! And even if he could, our pug bodyguards would protect us!!

Happy 4th Birthday, Avery!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Evan!!!
