Blue, White and Chocolate - My New Favorite Colors

OK - I think we're finally recovered from our crazy awesome weekend! Here are the highlights:

Evan, Avery and I rode up together in Amy's minivan - it was such a fun ride! I loved watching Barbie Mariposa! I was so excited the whole way there - I kept saying "We Are...Penn State!" When I would say "We Are, " Evan would answer "Tai Chi!" He is such a silly boy!

When we got to State College, we had a yummy McDonald's lunch, then we were off to the stadium!! Avery and I were SO excited!

The moment we stepped into the stadium, though, I did what has been Mommy's worst fear. I started to cry. I hated every moment we were in the stadium - it was too loud and the Nittany Lion was too scary. I'll watch the games with you on TV, Mommy and Daddy, but please don't make me go into that loud stadium again for a loooong time. Mommy has no photos of the event because we only stayed for ten minutes. Sorry, Mommy - I love Penn State, but I am not going to let my cute, precious ears get damaged by all that noise!!

After the game meltdown, it was time to do my favorite thing - SHOP! Avery and I loved holding hands while we walked (that meant that we didn't have to hold a grown-up's hand!) We all got some fun stuff, and Big Jim bought his 4,567th PSU t-shirt. I think he should be in the Guiness Book for that!!

After hours of shopping (and a quick nap!), we made our required Yogurt Express stop. Who wants to stand in line for two hours at the Creamery when you can stand in line for two minutes here?

No need for Peachy Paterno here!! This strawberry yogurt hits the spot just as well!!

After a long ride home (where my two friends fell asleep and left me alone to yell, "Airvery! Airvery! Wake up Airvery!) and a good night's sleep, we were off to Hershey's Chocolate World the next day. First we took the ride through the chocolate factory and learned how chocolate was made.

Obviously Mommy and Daddy didn't get the hint that I don't enjoy loud things anymore - the man narrating our ride was TOO LOUD. This was how I spent the whole ride.

Next it was time for making Kisses! We went to the Kiss factory and became official factory workers!!

Factory Worker Avery, ready for duty!

Work? I'm too cute to work. I thought we were here for the free chocolate!!

I will not let any Kisses fall off the line on my watch!!

Skaking the Kisses is an important, yet fun part of the process. Avery and I mastered the shaking immediately - we are very quick learners!

A perk of being a Kiss factory worker - you get to catch all the Kisses that fall when a co-worker is incompetent, hits the button too many times and overfills the bucket! Good thing Evan was wearing his hard hat - Kisses were flying everywhere!

This wheel only dispenses Kisses? It doesn't control a car? What kind of crazy wheel is that?!

All factory workers are required to have a 30 minute break, and all factory workers are required to go to the "Make Your Own Sundae" stand.

I might have to give my 2 weeks notice to the factory - I think I'd make a great sundae artist.

Evan passed on the sundae - he preferred to wear, I mean eat a cupcake!

Avery is such a good worker that she even cleaned her sundae bowl!!

The only bad thing about being a sundae artist - BRAIN FREEZE!!

Thanks so much for another awesome weekend Big Jim, Amy, Airvery, Evan and Jess. I can't wait to see what we do next!!

Q: What's Blue, White and Chocolate All Over?

A: The great weekend we just had with Avery, Evan, Amy, Big Jim and Jess!!

We are all too exhausted from our Penn State Blue/White game and Hershey's Chocolate World outings to do a full blog entry right now. We'll tease you with just one photo of Avery and me in front of Beaver Stadium. When we recover and have more time, we'll share more photos and give you the answers to these questions:

Who thinks "We Are...Tai Chi!" is the official battle cry of Penn State?

Who cried the entire time he/she was in Beaver Stadium and proclaimed, "I no like Nittany Lion!"?

Who slept through the entire game?

Who bought his/her 1,283rd PSU t-shirt?

Who became an official factory worker on the Hershey's Kiss assembly line?

Who enjoyed his/her "Make Your Own Hershey's Sundae" so much that she drank the last bit of it?

Find out the answers to these questions when we all wake up in a few days!!

Hat-tastic!!

I decided it's time to bring hats back into style.

Luckily for me, my school decided to have a hat day this week (they must have read my fashionable mind!) I was so excited to go into school and show the kids what a chic hat really looks like. I call it my 'feminine Gilligan' look. Think it will catch on?!?

Everyone at school was in awe of my sense of hat style. I'm ready for my spread in "Vogue!"

On another note, sorry for the lack of posts recently. Daddy's been out of town, so Mommy and I have been very busy. Then I got a nasty stomach bug last night and had to stay home from school today. Even though it wasn't fun feeling icky, I was giddy when Mommy suggested I sleep on the floor with her in her bedroom. We made a special bed of towels and blankets, and I loved cuddling with Mommy (even though she seemed nervous about me being so close to her...I wonder why?!?)

I'm feeling much better now, though, and ready for my sleepover at Nana's house tomorrow night!!
