Movin', Movin', Movin'...

Tomorrow is the big day!! Ninety six days after we said good-bye to them in Ohio, the guys with the big truck are finally coming to our new house in Pennsylvania. I will be reunited with my long lost toys and clothes. It'll be like Christmas in June!!

Because of the move and Auntie Jess's wedding this weekend, Mommy not not be able to update my blog for a few days. Keep coming back, though - once we're settled there will be plenty of mischief for me to get into in the new house. I'm sure Mommy will capture it all with her camera.

Hopefully this will be the last photo of me at the hotel. Yay!

Sippy Success!!

Mark your calendars - June 26, 2006 is now officially Independence Day. Freedom from the bottle! Long live the sippy!

Don't get carried away, Mommy. I can't even (or won't even!) hold it on my own, yet. Keep that bottle nearby!

Mommy thinks that it took me a really long time to learn how to drink from a bottle. She has little hope that I'll pick up this sippy cup thing quickly after the Great Bottle Debacle of Winter '06. Little does she realize that I know exactly how to use these silly beverage dispensers. I just like what I like and am resisting change.

Charlottcise!

Workout #1 - Crawl from one side of a French door to the other, bang on the glass and kiss the cute baby in the reflection. Repeat 50 times.

Workout #2 - Stairmaster. Over and over again.

Workout #3 - Streeeeeeeeeetch!

Workout #4 - Leg lifts.

Workout #5 - Return to the French doors and bang on the glass some more - great for the triceps!

What a workout!! Now hit the showers - you're a sweaty mess!

Charlotte's New Web

After months of being homeless, we officially became the owners of a beautiful house today. Thankfully, everything went smoothly at the closing. Even Charlotte didn't seem to mind sitting in her stroller in the office for an hour while Mommy and Daddy signed a zillion documents. She must have known that being patient for that hour meant freedom from the Eden Resort. Oh, and the fruit puffs helped, too.

Welcome to my new crib! Even though I love our new house, I'm still a little nervous about the grass here. I guess this green stuff is prickly no matter where it is!

I'm already trying to find ways to open this door so I can go play outside. I hope Mommy and Daddy invested in some child locks!!

Mommy and Daddy think that this is their tub. Little do they know that I am already trying to figure out how many rubber duckies will fit in it for my baths.

This is my very own bedroom. I'm so good at unpacking. In less than a minute I had all of the toys from this basket on the floor.

So far this is the only room that hasn't completely impressed me. Looks like Mommy won't have a mini Rachael Ray to help her out in the kitchen (Mommy needs a lot more help than a mini Rachael Ray can provide, anyway!)

Happy Daddy's Day

Happy Daddy's Day to the best daddy ever - mine!

I get so excited when Daddy enters a room that I can't even sit still for a photo.

Thank you for making me laugh so hard that I can't control my extremities.

Thank you for moving our family back to Pennsylvania and for working so hard for us. I love you!

Worst Nightmare

Charlotte is such a smart little girl. She already knows a few tricks (aside from her dog tricks that she learned from the pugs) She can wave hello and goodbye, give you five, shake toys on command, and show you that she is "SO BIG!"

Tonight at dinner Jed and I thought it would be cute to teach her to do the touchdown motion when someone says "Touchdown Penn State!" After watching Mommy and Daddy model the technique for her, Charlotte decided it was more fun to laugh at us than to mimic us. We were about to give up for the night when Jed, being the stinker that he is, said "Go Buckeyes!" and put his arms straight up in the air. Wouldn't you know it, Jed the Stinker's daughter, Charlotte the Stinker, decides at that moment to do the touchdown signal.

Needless to say, Charlotte is going to be getting lessons everyday from now on to do the "Touchdown Penn State" signal. She will be grounded one day for everytime she performs the signal for "Go Buckeyes." Where did we go wrong?!

Look, Daddy. I am so talented that I can even do the touchdown signal pug style. I can do anything with my tongue sticking out.

Woah, Daddy! Mommy just told me the trick you played on me. That was dirty!

The Chug

Chug (pronounced 'shugg')

The American Kennel Club has recognized a new breed of dog. The Chug is part Charlotte, part pug. It is a very friendly breed. It has a perfectly round, adorable face and unusually large, beautiful eyes.

The Chug has a long, lean body but lacks the curly tail of the pug. It has little fur, light in color. The Chug is usually quite large at birth.

The tongue of the Chug is often visible. It will make loud, odd noises to get attention.

The Chug loves to play. Its favorite game is tug of war. Owners should beware - the Chug can be sneaky and is known to steal toys from others.

The Chug eats all kinds of food. Owners should not over-feed the Chug - it is famous for eating almost anything put in front of it. The Chug drinks formula, but will enjoy an occasional swig of water.

The Chug is a mischievous breed. It has been known to lure unsuspecting victims into a crate and then close the door.

Back to the Buckeye State

Charlotte would like to give a big shout out to Emily and Brian for letting us crash at their house in Columbus this past weekend. On Saturday morning, we made the long drive out to visit friends and attend a student's graduation.
Our first stop was the old house. Closing takes place today, so it is officially not our home anymore. We dropped off our keys and said good-bye.
Next we went to Ken, Andrea and McKenna's house for a barbeque. Emily, Brian, Chad, Negar and Myles were there, too. It was great to see everyone again. Charlotte had a great time playing with McKenna and all her toys. Thanks to McKenna for the photo:)

Thanks for being so nice about sharing your toys, McKenna. When you share like that, I don't look like the dirty toy thief that my Mommy says I am!

Then we went to Brian and Emily's beautiful house to stay for the night. Charlotte must have felt very comfortable thanks to her wonderful hosts - she slept really well in her pack-n-play. Normally she's not a big fan of sleeping in it, but something about Brian and Emily's house made her feel good enough to sleep like a log. While Charlotte had sweet dreams of fruit puffs and her favorite stuffed horse Barbaro, Mommy and Daddy had a great evening with Bartender Brian and Giggly Umule.

Gather 'round, Brian and Barbaro. This is the story about a dog named Sizzles...

The next day, Mommy went to the graduation and Charlotte accompanied Daddy, Brian and Emily to the best pizza shop in Ohio for a nice lunch.
Thanks for a great weekend everyone. We miss you!
