Fashionistas

Charlotte and I are self proclaimed fashionistas. We enjoy putting together outfits - most days we look put together and fabulous, but once in a while we step out in something a bit more extraordinary.

A few times a month, Mommy and I volunteer in Charlotte's classroom. One day in particular I felt I needed to dress to impress, so I donned my Sleeping Beauty gown and let the first graders read to me. Luckily I didn't fall asleep :)

We've been enjoying an early spring, which means looking spectacular as we're outside playing. A Minnie Mouse dress and Minnie Mouse ears make looking spectacular possible :)

Who says jammies can't be fashionable? Pair them with a scarf and a winter hat and you have an instant runway look!

This Beauty and the Beast dress (complete with hat!) will hopefully not attract any beasts!

Charlotte has an occasional crazy fashion day, too. Her school recently had a wacky hair day - of course she decided to color her hair pink :)

A few weeks earlier her school had a mismatch day. While Charlotte had fun picking out her outfit, Mommy said it literally hurt her eyes to look at an outfit that clashed so much!

Speaking of clash, Mommy and I did not agree on the humor of this photo. As I tried to escape the constricting cardigan, I became stuck. Mommy thought this was hysterical. I did not.

On Super Bowl Sunday this year, I insisted on wearing Daddy's New York Giants t-shirt from 1990. I thought I looked super cute, and it brought Daddy's team good luck - they won!!

Some days a hat just isn't enough. I need more of a head covering, so my ninney offers me total coverage. Charlotte designed quite a fancy head covering for her school's 100th Day Celebration. It took some time to decorate her hat with 100 stickers! She looks fabulous to the 100th degree!

Charlotte and I love to dress up and design different outfits. You never know what you'll find us wearing!

The Most Sensational, Inspirational, Celebrational, Muppetational...

...This is what we call my 3rd birthday party!

On St. Patrick's Day, I turned THREE!! Since I am in love with the Muppet Show, we invited over family and a few friends to celebrate my birthday Muppet style!

Each of my friends who came received one of these bags. Since they were all special guest stars on this episode of the Muppet Show, we have to give them some fun swag :)

Since it was so nice outside, we only did one craft in the house, but it was an important one. Every guest star needed to make a star for his/her dressing room. I was too busy being a fabulous hostess to be bothered to have my photo taken with my star... :)

It's important to keep the guest stars well fed, so craft services made sure there was plenty of Muppet themed food to keep them happy. Mommy warned us to be careful of Beaker's punch. She said there was a possibility it would explode!

After eating, we headed outside to play a game of Pudgy Miss Piggy. My cousin Drew volunteered to be stuffed like a pig with balloons.

When Miss Piggy was stuffed, we took out all of the balloons and decided to have an impromptu balloon party.

Then my favorite part of the party arrived - cupcakes!! I requested Kermit cupcakes, and this is what Mommy came up with:

Can you tell that I was excited?!?

I can't tell you my wish, but I will say that it was a good one!

I wasn't the only one who was getting gifts today - Nana visited the Rumspringa Brewery recently and bought a few goodies for Big Jim.

Then it was my turn to open presents. I got a lot of really fun gifts. Aunt Amy and Drew made me a barrette holder just like Charlotte's - I was so happy to have one of my very own!

I received some great additions for my hat collection.

One of the gifts I received was the Kidz Bop 21 CD. After the present opening was complete, we put in the CD and started a crazy fun dance party.

Evan and I had a great time playing together. We were part of the Younger Sibling Club :)

Some of the adults took a Muppet Quiz. Unfortunately, most of them didn't do so well. Amy earned the best score - the cute Kermit shirt that she wore must have helped!

By the time all the special guest stars left, Charlotte and I were exhausted, but very happy. It was a great party!! The curtain closed, and I went to bed as a three year old for the first time... :)

Build a Claire Bear

It's time for my annual birthday trip to Build a Bear with Aunt Sammi. It only took me a moment to choose the cool St. Patrick's Day bear. It was quite a long line, but once I got to the stuffer, I knew what to do. I stuffed that bear so it was fat and fluffy, like my pug Emmet :) I had to give her the Claire Bear hug test. She passed!

I gave her heart a big kiss before it was placed in her.

Once she was stuffed, it was time to give her a bath. Charlotte, a Build a Bear pro, showed me the proper technique.

After choosing a very fashionable green shamrock ensemble, it was time to get her dressed.

Next came the difficult task of giving her a name. After coming up with a few ideas (Green, Doggy, and Bear), I settled on Lucky.

Aunt Sammi took care of some things at the register, and then Lucky was all mine!!

Speaking of Lucky, it was Charlotte's lucky day, too! Nana bought her this adorable little kitty, which she immediately named Patches.

Here's Lucky inside her cute little house.

As cute as her house was, I decided I liked her better in my arms. Look, she's even a good dancer!!

Thank you so much for my awesome bear, Aunt Sammi. I love it!
