Dr. McCutie

Move over, Doogie Howser, M.D. I now hold the title for youngest physician EVER. At only two and a half years old, I have already earned TWO medical degrees and am owner of a thriving private practice in Pennsylvania.
I became inspired to be a doctor when my cool Aunt Janelle (that's DOCTOR Evans to you!!) gave me these sweet scrubs with "Dr Charlotte" embroidered on them. While a very cool fashion statement, I felt as though I had to live up to my new outfit. Off to medical school I went...
I was top of my class at John Hopkids University School of Medicine and went on to become chief resident at Seattle Grace Hospital - yes, Dr. McDreamy is really that McDreamy in real life. He wasn't quite as McSmart in neurosurgery until he met me, though!!
Here is one of my regular patients, Big Head Barbie. She is a bit of a hypochondriac, so I see her in my office a lot.
Once again, Barbie, I'm not hearing any brain activity...

My second degree is in ophthalmology.
Can't see? Come see me!!
My medical / veterinary practice treats humans in the morning and animals in the afternoon. This is one of my regulars, Emmet Otter.
If you're feeling ill, need a blow out, can't see with clarity, or have a pet in need of medical attention, give me a call!

My Funny Valentine
Last Wednesday when Mommy came to pick me up at school, all she heard on the long walk back to my classroom were stories of a rendezvous that I had with a boy in my class, Hayden (or Haydie Hayden as I call him).
This is the story Mommy heard from numerous teachers (she has to go by their account, since I'll never tell!!) : After morning snack, Hayden took me by the hand and led me to the clubhouse in the back of the room. Hayden sat me down, put his arm around me, and we began to chat. We chatted for a minute or two, then we became silent and sat in the clubhouse, just looking at each other for about ten more minutes. Haydie Hayden kept his arm around me the whole time.
Our teachers were so amused that they took this photo and called other teachers in to observe our little 'date.' After a while, we decided we were finished with our rendezvous and joined the rest of our class in the play area.

Like Mommy, Like Daughter
Isn't school the best?!?
Mommy and I both go to school. She teaches the big kids, and I play with the little kids. We both love our schools.
I was SO excited when Nana bought me a cool chalkboard easel for Christmas. Now I can pretend to be just like Mommy and write on a chalkboard so that I can teach my 'class.'
My class didn't seem too enthusiastic at first, but I quickly won them over with my super-energetic and fun teaching style.
And in case you were wondering, of course I teach at an all-girls school.
I very carefully demonstrated different shapes for my students. Today's lesson focused on large, uneven squiggly shapes.
Don't forget, class, you must raise your hand if you have a question. There will be no shouting out or interrupting in Miss Charlotte's class.
Before stepping foot into my classroom, I spend countless hours on lesson planning. I take suggestions from the text book and put them together with my own creative and industry-leading ideas to write the best lesson plans teaching has ever seen.
"Dangerous Minds" and "Stand and Deliver?" Sure, those teachers were good, but there should be a movie made about my inventive and outstanding teaching style.
Did those teachers look as cute as I do when they taught?
Did they use a textbook with a lanuage they couldn't even read?
Did they teach so enthusiastically that they were covered in chalk by the end of the lesson?
Did they have a classroom full of pink, girly, absolutely fabulous dolls? I think not.

Drew is Two!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DREW!!!
My cousin Drew turned two earlier this month, and today we celebrated with a birthday brunch at Nana and JoePa's house. We ate a lot of yummy food - blueberry pancakes, stuffed french toast, frittata, monkey bread...
It was all delicious, but I was patiently waiting all morning for the birthday cake. I kept asking for 'cake, cake," and the silly grown-ups kept giving me pancakes because they thought that was what I was asking for - come on, people! Cake is cake!!!
My patience was finally rewarded with a big slice of scrumptious marble cake with LOTS of sugary blue icing.
Drew is ga-ga for Thomas the Train (similar to my ga-ganess for the Doodlebops). There was definitely a Thomas theme to the party thanks to Nana. Drewbie had fun showing off his Thomas balloon to Daddy. I think Daddy really liked playing with something that wasn't pink for once...
Even though it was Drew's party, I received some nice presents, too (did everyone know that today is my half birthday?!?!) Grammy Kay and Pop bought me a really cute baby doll. A girl can NEVER have enough baby dolls.
I also received a very pretty parasol, but Mommy and Daddy had to take it away and put it in a time-out because both Drew and I wanted to play with it at the same time. I'm still not the best when it comes to sharing my pretty things...
Hey, Drew - that drum set looks like Moe Doodle's drum set! If you play drums, I'll play my keytar and sing, and we can start our own family band! Watch out, Hanson! MMMBop...
I picked out the PERFECT present for Drew. It's a Thomas the Tank Engine play tent. We knew that Drew would love it - Aunt Amy and Uncle Darin, maybe not so much. It's over five feet tall!! I can't wait to come over to play in it with you, Drew!
Welcome to two, buddy! It's a great place to be!

All Dee Dee, All The Time
I was so lucky at Christmastime - I received LOTS of fun Doodlebop gifts!!! Now I can be Dee Dee Doodle all the time. All I need is my keytar, my costume and my dance mat. Occasionally I'll bring out my Doodlebop microphone, but it's difficult to play the keytar and use the microphone at the same time.
Here is a video of what goes on in my house a lot now. I love to perform for Mommy. Like a good performer, I was watching my reflection on the TV to make sure my dance moves were Dee Dee-like. You should also notice that even a distruption by a barking dog couldn't break my concentration - the show must go on!

New Year's Resolutions
Happy New Year!!
Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. We were VERY busy over the holidays. We visited a lot of family and friends and did a lot of exciting things. Mommy didn't have her camera with her for everything, but we'll try to include photos for most of our travels .
Christmas started off with an AMAZING party at Auntie Tara's parents' house. I helped Auntie Tara make candy cane cookies the day before the party. I had so much fun baking in Mama Gibson's beautiful new kitchen (the next few photos are borrowed from Mama Gibson and Auntie Tara).
I decided to use this blog entry to post my New Year's Resolutions. Enjoy!
My first resolution is to always clean up after baking in the kitchen.
I will be very thorough in my cleaning. One can't leave a mess!
I promised Mommy I will assume that all stories that Auntie Tara tells me about growing up with Mommy are fictional.
I will always be grateful and show appreciation when given gifts.I promise to share all my toys and to not be grabby with other kids' toys.
I will help Daddy shovel when it snows now that I have my own Charlotte-sized shovel.
I will take good care of all of my baby dolls.
I will practice my new keytar everyday so that I can play as well as DeeDee.
I will be the best two year old performer/entertainer anyone has ever seen. My world tour will begin in spring, 2008.
I will not whine or cry in the car on long rides again, thanks to the great DVD player that Daddy bought me for Christmas!!My plan is to stick to all of the these resolutions. It won't be easy, but I will try!
I hope you all had a happy, wonderful holiday season. Let's raise our new Dora sippy cups to toast a great 2008!!!

Walking In a (Dutch) Winter Wonderland
On Saturday, Avery and Evan (and their mommy and daddy) came to visit and to spend a fun evening with us at Dutch Winter Wonderland. Dutch Wonderland is a local amusement park with lots of rides for little kids like us. For the holidays, they display lots of lights, sell hot cider and kettle corn, invite Santa to visit and open up the kiddie rides. The mommies made sure we would be warm by wrapping us up "A Christmas Story" style, but that didn't dimish our excitement. Evan and I couldn't wait to get out of the stroller and onto the rides!!

We didn't waste any time when we got to Dutch Winter Wonderland. Avery and I decided to ride the "Dukes Dozers" ride right away. Even all bundled up with 200 layers of clothes, we loved controlling the bulldozer and going around in circles.
When Mommy saw the photo taken at the end of the ride, she knew she had to purchase it. Daddy looks so proud looking down at me as I steered - Mommy thinks I look like his little protege!
Avery and her Daddy were excited to say hi to Duke The Dragon, the official mascot of Dutch Wonderland. In keeping with my extreme fear of all things hooded, masked or bearded, I wouldn't even look at Duke (or Santa at the end of the night!) After a few hours of rides, snacks and COLD weather, we decided to end the night with the train ride around the amusement park. I was completely exhausted at this point (notice my frozen expression - I was motionless from fatigue, not the cold!)
As tired as I was, I really loved snuggling close to Mommy and Daddy on the train, looking at all the lights and rides around the park.

Daddy tried his best to get a good photo of the Dixons in the seat in front of us, but we were a little too close. Avery, Evan and Big Jim, although cold, also enjoyed the train.
Amy thought the train ride was a nice way to finish the evening, too.

Thank you SO much for coming out to visit us Amy, Big Jim, Avery and Evan! We always have so much fun with you!!
I was SO tired from the fun night at Dutch Winter Wonderland that Mommy had to wake me at TEN THIRTY on Sunday morning to get ready for the next event. My friends Grace and Riley turn 3 on Tuesday, so we went up to Camp Hill to help them celebrate!!
Auntie Sherona had a great craft for us - we decorated our own snowflakes!! Erin and I were working hard to make our snowflakes beautiful while Genna's daddy worked hard at being silly!
Can you tell that I LOVE cake?!?!?
Thanks for inviting us to your party! I hope I can be as wonderful a girl as you both are when I am three!!
