Here is Charlotte before she left for the last day of school.
Here she was on the first day of first grade - she looks so much younger!
Right before she walks into school as a first grader for the last time - isn't she cute?
Both Charlotte and I loved her teacher, Mrs. Koehnke. I hope she is my teacher when I am in first grade!
At the end of year class party that Mommy planned yesterday, the class presented Mrs. Koehnke with her gift. It was a booklet filled with gift cards. She loved it! Mommy asked her to read the story (inspired by the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" books) to the students.
"If You Give Mrs. Koehnke a Summer Vacation..."
"She'll want to rest her tired feet and enjoy a pedicure."
"The pedicure will make her sleepy, so she'll get a coffee to wake herself up."
"The coffee will make her feel warm, so she'll want ice cream to cool herself."
"The ice cream will give her a brain freeze, so she'll want to rest her brain by going to see a fun movie."
"Seeing a movie will make her want to read a book, so she'll go online and order one."
"Reading a book will make her think of school, and chances are, even if Mrs. Koehnke is on summer vacation, she will miss her 2011 - 2012 first graders!"
Congratulations on having a phenomenal year in first grade, Charlotte!! We are SOO proud of you!
